Fun with Shading

For this one I picked a kitchen towel then twirled it up and tied it. I wanted to pick something soft to go with the roundness of the "random" shading.
This one is my jewelry bag with a ribbon falling out. I wanted to pick subjects that were more interesting because still lifes can be a bit boring.

Steven Ehrlich Zine

I loved this project and getting to research Steven Ehrlich's work. I wish I had started it over the weekend, because I rushed it and I think it could have been a lot better if I had spent more time on it.

Me, me, me!!

For this self portrait project, we were asked to create our own self portraits as well as a place for them. I created a metal tree with three branches and tied the portraits to the boughs with string. I went for lots of different media with the portraits to see what I could do with them.

Memory Box

These represent a memory of my great-aunt's house. My original idea of using a hat box was reflecting the 40's style of the decor, but i think it was too literal. My second idea was to make a sort of treasure chest with a drawer on the side, a hidden one on the bottom and compartments in the inside to suggest the discoveries I used to make at her house as a little kid.
